Our Mission

At UFCW Local 1776, our mission is to empower workers by negotiating strong collective bargaining agreements, enforcing workplace rights & resolving grievances, and ensuring fairness, dignity, and safety on the job.

We are committed to improving the lives of our members and their families—not just in the workplace, but in society as a whole. That’s why we advocate for pro-worker legislation, support candidates who fight for economic & social justice, and encourage members to participate in democracy through voter registration and civic engagement.

Our commitment extends to protecting healthcare and pension benefits while promoting access to childcare, senior care, and family support programs. We also support educational, legislative, and charitable initiatives that reflect the values of solidarity, fairness, and mutual support. As a union, we uphold the principles of democracy, transparency, and accountability. Our officers and staff work tirelessly to protect the integrity of our union and resist any efforts that threaten workers’ rights and voices.
